Goodbye Barça, Javi Miguel announces the next departure, soon official: 'Days are numbered'

The well-known journalist has surprised everyone by announcing a departure from FC Barcelona that will take place soon

FC Barcelona is still putting together its squad for next season and, right now, it's finalizing the details. The current plan of the sporting management is not to make any more signings, focusing solely and exclusively on departures. There are several names on the exit ramp and, Javi Miguel, a well-known journalist from "AS" and "El Chiringuito", has revealed that one of them "has its days numbered".

Will not remain at Barça

Javi Miguel has been clear, announcing that Héctor Fort won't wear Barça's jersey next season. "He has his days numbered, the club doesn't plan to give him a first-team spot," the journalist stated on his X account.

There are plenty of rumors about Fort, but the reality is that his position is well covered and Hansi Flick doesn't trust him. He just turned 19 and he has no shortage of offers, as he's a player closely followed in Europe.

"Madrid-Barcelona" has learned that the Catalan has received calls from some of Europe's top teams, such as Borussia Dortmund or Ajax. Not only them, other clubs like Milan, Valencia, or Mallorca are also keeping an eye on what Héctor Fort's near future may hold.

A key aspect will be the upcoming U-20 World Cup. He's expected to be drafted with Spain and that would make him miss a month of the season between September 27 and October 19. That would make it harder for him to adapt to his new team and, in addition, it could hurt his chances of finding a new destination.

Price of 10 million

Barça is clear that Héctor Fort has a lot of potential ahead and doesn't want to lose track of him. In this regard, what it wants in his future transfer is to keep 50% of a future sale, as well as the possibility to buy him back through a clause.

He is valued at about 10 million euros, although it seems his starting price will be noticeably lower than his valuation.

Fort has always chosen to stay at Barcelona, but he knows this year it's especially difficult. They don't want to give him a first-team spot and he's ready for more than just the reserve team. His departure seems imminent, with several European clubs interested in signing him. Everything will intensify after the tour of Asia, with the idea being that he starts LaLiga already at another club.
