Gerard Piqué Reacts to the Clásico 0-4, Sends Message to Florentino: They'll Never...

The former captain of FC Barcelona had predicted a 0-4 win over Real Madrid.

Gerard Piqué was closely following El Clásico between Real Madrid and Barça. The former captain didn't mince his words at the end of the match, celebrating the 4-0 victory at the Bernabéu. Minutes after the end of the match, the Catalan published a message on his 'X' account, clearly aimed at Florentino Pérez.

"We are unique, they will never be able to be like us. With all the young people from La Masía. What a recital. What pride," wrote Piqué.

Gerard Piqué's message quickly went viral, racking up thousands of interactions. The "they can never be like us" message seems to have a clear recipient at Real Madrid: Florentino Pérez. He has no confidence in his youth squad, while Barça makes use of its youngest players, trained at La Masia.

8 youth players in El Clásico

While Florentino Pérez continues to get rid of his most promising youth players, Barça continues to make the most of them. In total, up to eight players trained at La Masia had minutes in El Clásico against Real Madrid, six of them even starting.

Meanwhile, in Florentino Pérez's team, only one youth player, Lucas Vázquez, was part of the starting eleven... and in the rest of El Clásico only one other player appeared: Fran García. In total, two were trained at La Fábrica compared to the eight who were given the opportunity by Hansi Flick.

That formation and love for the badge was evident in the final result, with Barça clearly and convincingly winning 0-4. As Gerard Piqué said, they can never be alike.

Gerard Piqué is right

The truth is that Gerard Piqué couldn't be more right with these words. While Barça gives the chance to the players who have come through their youth system, even against Madrid, Florentino Pérez decides to sell them and make a profit.

A recent case is that of Nico Paz, transferred last summer to Como. He is making a name for himself in Italy, he is an international with the Argentine national team, but for Florentino Pérez he didn't have the level to play for Real Madrid.

All this, while continuing to give opportunities to a player who has fallen on hard times like Ceballos. They will never be able to be like Barcelona. Piqué has hit Florentino's waterline, as El Clásico shows.
