Deco's Reply to Latest Offer to Barça: He Regrets It and Wants to Return

A former Barça player has asked Deco for the chance to return to the club he loves.

There have been many departures from the Barça youth system in recent years. The vast majority end up regretting it, including Adam Aznou, a left-back with great potential, who many even put ahead of Balde. Some time later, things aren't going as expected for him in Munich and now he wants to return with his tail between his legs.

Barça tried to do everything to keep him and prevent him from leaving for Bayern at just 16, but Aznou preferred money to glory. A mistake he now regrets, having contacted the sporting management headed by Deco to try to offer his return at an affordable price.

Deco's response is clear: his betrayal won't be forgiven. If Adam Aznou were to return to Barcelona, he would have to do so for free, and his contract with Bayern doesn't end until 2027.

Bayern is very clear about this: whoever wants Adam Aznou has to pay up and Barça have no intention of doing so. Deco has been blunt and has completely ruled out his return, despite the fact that part of the Barça sporting management didn't see it as a bad idea.

No to Adam Aznou: Balde's Replacement Already Exists

There's no intention of bringing back Adam Aznou, among other things, because Barcelona already has a reliable substitute for Balde.

At 20 years old, Gerard Martín has become the backup left-back for FC Barcelona and nobody wants him to leave. He currently has a contract until 2025, but Deco is in advanced negotiations to close his renewal, signing a new contract until 2029.

This renewal not only secures Gerard Martín's future at FC Barcelona, but also sends a strong message: the club continues to trust in the talent at La Masia. Now more than ever, the youth players are in charge of getting the club out of the crisis.

With this renewal, Gerard Martín will ensure his continuity at FC Barcelona, in addition to his place in the first team.

In total, there are up to twelve players trained at La Masia with a first-team contract, which is a clear message to the younger players. This proves that everyone can have opportunities. None of them will be Adam Aznou, despite his offer.
