Barça Is in Fashion in Europe and what their players do on the field doesn't go unnoticed by anyone.
Until just a few months ago, Joan Laporta had serious problems selling footballers. Because those who were there didn't want to leave and because no offers were coming in for them.
Now Offers Do Come in for Barça Players
Now the offers are multiplying. The big clubs in Europe are aware of Barça's delicate financial situation and try to take advantage with lowball offers.
Offers have reached Joan Laporta's office for Cubarsí, Ronald Araújo, Gavi, Fermín, Casadó, Frenkie De Jong, Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, and Raphinha.
None of them with enough weight to be considered. Not even the latest one, which has arrived from Paris with the signature of Luis Enrique and PSG.
The former Spanish national team coach wants to have Alejandro Balde under his command again. He knows him well from his time with La Roja and thinks that PSG would have a left-back for years with him.
The Asturian coach has recently renewed with PSG and enjoys credit and authority to direct the Parisian club's transfer policy. Balde is one of his favorites. There are more (Gavi, Fermín, Lamine, Pedri...) but Balde is probably the most affordable and the most expendable for Barça.
What PSG Offers and What Barça Asks For
It happens that Hansi Flick doesn't think the same. He doesn't want to hear anything about Balde leaving Barça, who also shows no interest whatsoever in leaving the club.
PSG has offered 50M for Alejandro Balde. Laporta has studied the offer, but he won't settle for less than double. He has made this known to Luis Enrique.
If PSG waits until the season ends and Barça wins the Champions League, Balde's price will be 150M. A bluff? At the very least a way to assert themselves after years of being a laughingstock in European soccer.
The offers are starting to come in. It remains to be seen how many sacrifices will be necessary to consolidate the club's financial health.
