Confirmed, goodbye Barça, signs for Arsenal: he has left Hansi Flick hanging, $70M

A forward who was on Barça's radar has decided to head to London: it's confirmed

Barcelona are moving in the market, but not as much as they should, at least for now. Reports from Portugal have announced that one of the most talked-about names for next summer, Viktor Gyökeres, has a very significant offer on the table. Specifically, Arsenal want him and have already sent representatives to Lisbon to negotiate his transfer and finalize everything as soon as possible.

The Portuguese outlet "Correio da Manha" has revealed that Arsenal are preparing a major offer valued at €70M for him. Sporting are willing to let him leave, having reached a verbal agreement with Gyökeres himself. Despite rumors linking him with United or Barça, it seems his future now points to the capital of England.

What Arsenal want is to convince, first, Sporting with a €70M offer, and then Viktor Gyökeres himself.

Viktor Gyökeres, the trending number 9 in Europe

Viktor Gyökeres is set to be one of the big names of the next transfer window. At 26 years old, the Swedish striker has had an absolutely spectacular season with Sporting in Portugal, posting truly world-class numbers: 54 goals and 13 assists in 52 matches. His impact on the Lisbon side has been total, leading the team in the fight for every title.

Viktor Gyökeres is a complete striker. He stands 6 ft. 2 in. tall (1.89 meters), combining physical power with speed, great off-the-ball movement, and lethal finishing inside the box. His ability to create chances, both on his own and by linking up with teammates, has made him one of the most desired strikers by Europe's top clubs.

After a historic campaign in Portugal, everything suggests that Viktor Gyökeres will move on this summer. He has offers on the table from the Premier League and has also been linked with giants like Barça or Atlético. Sporting know it will be very difficult to keep him and have already opened the door to a big-money sale.

The Swedish goal scorer is ready to make the definitive leap to the elite. Everything now seems to indicate that his next destination will be Arsenal: €70M is the reason.
