Barça Crushes Sevilla with 10 against 12 and There is a Target: ‘It’s a…’

Hansi Flick's team is closing in on the top of LaLiga in a match marked by controversy at Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Barça has managed to secure three points after defeating Sevilla 4-1, but they ended the match at Sánchez Pizjuán very angry. They finished on the field with ten men, due to the expulsion of Fermín who, in that action, touched the ball first. The Andalusian was the one who broke the tie on the scoreboard, but he had to leave very upset due to an unjust red card.

It was the 62nd minute of the match between Barça and Sevilla when Fermín, in his eagerness to recover a ball, touched an opponent's leg. He had previously reached the ball, but Hernández Hernández, who had shown him a yellow card, was called by Del Cerro Grande to review it in the VAR. The action finally ended with the expulsion of the young culer midfielder, leaving Hansi Flick's team with one less player for the last half hour.

However, this was not the only controversy against Barça in this match against Sevilla. Fortunately, the result ended up being favorable despite the fact that the Andalusians were always with 12 on the field. No one understood anything in the culer team, which saw how, after taking the lead on the scoreboard, the Andalusians quickly tied the match.

In the 8th minute, Vargas neutralized Lewandowski's initial goal in an action in which Saúl was in an offside position.  The video arbitration indicated that Araújo was behind, an obvious error that complicated the match for a Barça that had to navigate against the flow. "It's a scandal," was noted by several media outlets close to the blaugrana team.

Hernández Hernández Can't Handle Barça in Sevilla: LaLiga Remains Alive

Despite Hernández Hernández doing everything in his power to try to make Barça fall in Sevilla, the truth is he couldn't. Flick's team has taken advantage of the latest slip by Real Madrid and Atlético to once again depend on themselves in the fight for LaLiga.

In this 4-1 result, for FC Barcelona, Lewandowski, Fermín, Raphinha, and Eric García scored. These goals have ended up serving to close the gap at the top of LaLiga. Madrid remains the leader, but only one point ahead of Atlético and two ahead of Barça.

There is total confidence in Barça to be able to fight for this League, as long as they are allowed to do so. What Hernández Hernández did today in Sevilla, with Del Cerro Grande in the VAR, is a serious warning: it won't be easy...
