Xabi Alonso has spoken out after the latest nonsense uttered by Laporta. The Real Madrid coach, during the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Salzburg, replied to what Barça's president said.
In recent statements, Joan Laporta claimed that at Barcelona there is a feeling of "freedom," while at Madrid it is one of "power". When asked about these words at a press conference, Xabi Alonso started by laughing and replied clearly.

"This is about..."
Xabi Alonso didn't hold back, saying: "I imagine the context in which Laporta must've said it. We have a feeling of freedom and democracy, and I imagine they also have some power. This is about both sides."
In this regard, the Real Madrid coach was very clear, leaving Laporta in a bad light. Barça's president always says the same thing, but when it comes down to it, it is proven that the opposite is true.
Huijsen, another pillar
On another note, Xabi Alonso also spoke about Real Madrid's current situation at the press conference. When asked about Huijsen, he said: "Without a doubt, he is another pillar, and he showed that personality with the national team and with us he showed it in just two days. He makes himself liked, he earns respect for his quality. Yes, he is a great signing, we have to push him so he doesn't relax, but I'm happy to have him with us."
He was clear about Rodrygo, stating: "I see Rodrygo doing well, he's eager, the other day it was a technical decision, Rodrygo remains important and we're going to need him at the World Cup, he's a special player."

Regarding the tournament, Xabi was clear: "We give it the utmost importance, we're here and for us it's the most important title at this moment. It's a new competition, it's going to be demanding, yes, but we want to try."
Xabi Alonso, total calm
He hasn't been in the position long and he is sure that he can turn the situation around. Real Madrid hasn't shown great play in the first matches, but Xabi Alonso is taking it with total calm.
Xabi Alonso is sure that Real Madrid will be in top condition at the start of next season. He hopes to be able to compete for the World Cup, although he knows he is at a disadvantage compared to the other competitors. Despite this, he doesn't make any excuses and is going all out for the title.
