A post by @MarioHurtado5 on X has gone viral on social media and has shocked Real Madrid fans.
And even more so after Dani Carvajal's serious injury, which adds to the previous, also long-term, injuries to Courtois, Militão and Alaba. Now Bellingham is the one under threat.
Why? Because of the correlation between the players' numbers and the location of their lockers in the Real Madrid dressing room.
The Location of the players' Lockers
Real Madrid has its players' lockers distributed in the order of their numbers. That is, after Courtois' number 1 comes Carvajal's number 2, Militão's number 3 and Alaba's number 4.
It's a coincidence, but some are already thinking it's witchcraft because of the bad luck that the lower-number jerseys at Real Madrid have had. Will Bellingham, number 5, be affected?
"Jude Bellingham's number needs to be changed for his own sake and it must be returned to Vallejo," posted the user on "X".
And he is not wrong, although poor Vallejo is not to blame. Bellingham has been dragging a shoulder injury since last season that prevents him from being at 100 percent.
He started the season without shoulder protection and had to wear it again after an unfortunate fall.
The Curse is Aimed at the Defense
The truth is that the curse of serious injuries is aimed directly at Real Madrid's defensive zone.
Courtois suffered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on August 10 2023. Four days later, Militão got the same injury.
On December 17, David Alaba was out of action. And it's been almost a year since he was last away from the field.
And now it's Carvajal's turn, who's also said farewell to the season.
The misfortunes have been chained in defense, although Ancelotti has always stayed calm. Apart from the emergency signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga, who ended up as a substitute, Real Madrid didn't bring in any more players to solve the problem.
