Valencia Prepares to Welcome Vinícius with These Two Chants: There will be Trouble

Saturday's match could be postponed following Valencia's request due to the consequences of Dana.

The Valencia-Real Madrid LaLiga match is scheduled for next Saturday. However, the match could be postponed if the local club's request to suspend it is granted. The reason: the consequences of the bad weather that is hitting the area and has caused huge material and human losses.

The Statement from Real Madrid

Real Madrid, aware of the situation, is at Valencia's disposal. It will adapt to what best suits the local club in a gesture of solidarity. The white club has issued a statement:

Real Madrid CF would like to express its condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have passed away due to the storm that is affecting many areas of our country, especially in the provinces of Valencia and Albacete.

Real Madrid expresses its deepest consternation and its solidarity with the entire population affected by this catastrophe, to whom it conveys all its support and affection.”

All that remains is to wait for the authorities' decision. Spanish soccer is going through a time when grief is gripping the population in the area affected by the catastrophe.

Mestalla had sold out. All seats have been sold out for the Real Madrid game and a record attendance of 48,000 people is expected.

Valencia is at the bottom of the table, having won one of their five home games. But Real Madrid's visit is always a sell-out affair, and even more so now with the presence of Vinícius.

It was in Valencia where Vinícius denounced the presence of racism in Spanish stadiums. Vinícius was insulted by a group of local spectators, who received the corresponding punishment from the club and legal authorities.

Vinícius returned to Mestalla last season and asked that Netflix cameras be allowed in to reflect in his series what happens in the stands when he is there. Valencia refused.

That visit ended without any major incidents. With rivalry, but without tensions, insults or racist chants.

The Chants that Vinícius will Hear at Mestalla

If the match is finally played on Saturday, another tense encounter is expected but without any non-sporting implications. Groups of Valencia fans are preparing to welcome Vinícius.

It won't be like what happened at the Metropolitano, when social media advised people to wear a mask and insult Vinícius relentlessly.

Valencia is preparing two songs to repeat to Vinícius during the 90 minutes. No insults.

Mestalla will chant the name of Rodri, winner of the Ballon d'Or. They will also chant the name of the trophy that Vinícius hasn't won.

The Brazilian star of Real Madrid already knows what awaits him in Valencia and other stadiums in Spain.
