Unexpected Twist! José Félix Díaz Announces Courtois Departure from Madrid: ‘If…’

José Félix Díaz makes public Thibaut Courtois's possible departure from Real Madrid: There's a condition

Courtois has a contract with Madrid until 2026 and, in the coming weeks, he will turn 33. Lately, he has been experiencing physical problems and, although he is still considered the best in the world, his continuity is in doubt...

Or, at the very least, this is what the renowned journalist José Félix Díaz has suggested, indicating that he could leave Santiago Bernabéu. Everything will depend, however, on what happens in the coming months.

Courtois ends his contract in 2026

Speaking on Rubén Martín's Twitch channel, José Félix Díaz has stated that "Courtois is the starting goalkeeper for Real Madrid. He has time left, two years. He is missing too many games this season."

Díaz added that Courtois "is having physical problems and at Real Madrid they have been looking at goalkeeping, a starting goalkeeper."

"They are looking, it's logical, because Courtois is going through stages. It is not a priority to sign a goalkeeper. Because they want to wait until the end of the season to know what the goalkeepers think," he said.

"NO DESCARTO UNA SALIDA DE COURTOIS O LUNIN A FINAL DE TEMPORADA" ¿EL REAL MADRID BUSCA PORTERO?

He continued: "Is there a possibility that Lunin or Courtois could leave at the end of the season? I wouldn't rule it out completely. Who could leave more easily? I would lean more toward Lunin than Thibaut Courtois, but because of Lunin's sporting concerns... He is receiving calls from teams and will ask Real Madrid what his role will be next season."

Finally, José Félix Díaz said that "Courtois will have to decide. More than anything, it's a bit of everything... Time is passing."

"He is a reliable goalkeeper, but Real Madrid is obliged to find a replacement in the very near future. He intends to stay, but if multimillion-dollar offers appear, we'll see what happens. Madrid has shown that they will never oppose a player's decision," he concluded.

Arabia is watching Courtois

No one can take anything for granted. Madrid-Barcelona has contacted sources from Real Madrid, who convey their "total calmness" about Thibaut Courtois's future. If one were to leave, everything seems to point to Lunin.

But it is equally true that Courtois is getting older and a long-term replacement needs to be found. Meanwhile, Arabia is keeping an eye on anything that might happen. The Belgian is considered the best in the world in his position and they intend to shower him with millions to try to convince him.

In any case, the final word will always be with Madrid, who have him under contract until 2026 and will have to decide what to do with Courtois.
