After the UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid adds the second title to its record in a season that promises to be historic.
Today, the Intercontinental Cup arrived in Doha against a very modest Pachuca that barely posed any threat to Real Madrid.
First Shot on Goal: First Goal for Real Madrid
Ancelotti's team started the game very calmly, without pushing too hard. Despite that, with the first shot on goal came the first goal.
It was the 37th minute. Vinícius outmaneuvered a defender and the goalkeeper with a masterful move that left Mbappé alone to finish with a killer instinct.
That was the end of the story for the match. Pachuca fell apart and Real Madrid treated the game as if hanging out during the summer.
After the break, the same as in the first half. With the first shot on goal, a goal. It was in the 52nd minute when Rodrygo invented a play that he started and finished with a shot placed only like the best would.
With the 2-0, Madrid took it even more calmly. The score would only change for Vinícius to close the counting by executing a penalty committed on Lucas Vázquez.
The Second of a Seven-Title Season
Vinícius celebrated his The Best award and also received the MVP award of the match from the final's organizers.
A match without further story that marked the second title of the season for Real Madrid. More are ahead: Spanish Super Cup, LaLiga, Cup, Champions, and Club World Cup. That is the challenge: seven titles, never seen before.
