Toni Kroos Knows He'll be Better than Florian Wirtz: Real Madrid Sizes up his Transfer

The Real Madrid knows him and believes he's better than Wirtz. They want to bring him from Italy to Ancelotti's team.

Real Madrid, under the leadership of Florentino Pérez, continues its search for talents to ensure a generational transition in its team. One of the names gaining relevance is Florian Wirtz, a midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen. However, given the potential complications for his transfer, the club is already considering alternatives.

The performance of Florian Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen, under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, has caught the attention of Europe's top clubs. Real Madrid sees him as a natural successor to Toni Kroos, who is nearing the end of his career. According to 'BILD', the club has assigned one of its most influential scouts to closely follow each of Wirtz's matches.

Obstacles in the Negotiation for Wirtz

Despite the interest, transfer Wirtz presents significant challenges. Bayer Leverkusen values the player at over 100 million euros, an amount Real Madrid isn't willing to spend at this time. Additionally, Premier League clubs like Manchester City have also shown interest in the midfielder, which could further increase the operation's cost.

Faced with difficulties in securing Wirtz's arrival, Real Madrid has set its sights on Nico Paz, a talent developed at La Fábrica. The young midfielder, currently on loan at Como in Italy, has shown outstanding performance under the direction of Cesc Fàbregas. So far this season, Nico Paz has scored one goal and provided four assists, being included in the Serie A team of the week on four occasions.

Contractual Options for Nico Paz's Return

When transferring Nico Paz, Real Madrid retained 50% of his federative rights and a buyback option. This clause would allow them to recover the player for around 6 million, a smaller investment compared to the cost of Wirtz. The buyback strategy has been effective in the past, as in the case of Dani Carvajal after his stint at Bayer Leverkusen.

Toni Kroos, a key figure in Real Madrid's midfield, has closely followed Nico Paz's development. The German believes that Nico Paz possesses the necessary qualities to succeed at Real Madrid and potentially surpass the impact Wirtz could have on the team. Paz's adaptation to the club's playing style and his understanding of the Madridista philosophy are factors that work in his favor.
