Real Madrid's goalkeeper praised the young homegrown player after his decisive goal and highlighted his effort and humility

Real Madrid went out with the job half done against Mallorca. Once again, the team conceded a goal without much effort from the opponent. But the story ended differently this time.

The team reacted, tied, and ended up winning 2-1 thanks to a key goal from young Jacobo Ramón, who came off the bench with personality and signed a night he will hardly forget.

That goal not only meant three points. It was a breath of fresh air for the locker room, a victory with a taste of vindication, especially for the less regular players.

Jacobo Ramón, from the mud to the light

The youth academy center-back has had a tough few weeks. Between injuries, occasional mistakes, and lack of trust, his name was not exactly among the fans' favorites.

However, this match was different. Jacobo played with composure, corrected mistakes, and ended up scoring the goal that sealed the victory.

Courtois knows it and said it bluntly:

"He's had bad luck both in Leganés and against Celta. But he keeps working hard."

The merit is not only in what he did on the field but in everything he has continued to do when no one was watching. In training, on the bench, in silence. His effort has found reward.

The most sincere praise

Then came the moment that has been most talked about. When asked about Jacobo, Courtois smiled and delivered a phrase that made clear the appreciation he has for him: "He's a great guy. Very good people."

Thus, with the naturalness of someone who truly knows a teammate. Far from empty phrases, the Belgian goalkeeper showed the human side of the locker room.

It's not just about soccer. Respect is also earned off the field, and Jacobo, despite his youth, has already made a place for himself.

Courtois also added that performances like his are a positive sign for La Fábrica, reminding that the club has a youth academy that continues to provide talent and commitment.

A leader who also exposes himself

Beyond the praise for Jacobo, Courtois also spoke about himself. He didn't shy away from self-criticism:

"It's not pleasant to concede four goals on a Sunday. But you have to respond, keep the focus."

With 200 matches already as a Madridist, the Belgian continues to show the commitment expected of a figure of his stature. He says it hasn't been his best season, but also that he wants to keep adding matches and titles.

With the Club World Cup near, Courtois is clear: there is a future, and Jacobo Ramón is already leaving his mark.
