'What Does Playing Well Mean?' Edu Aguirre Says What Millions of Madridists Think

'Madrid doesn't need 15,000 passes to reach the goal like the choral Barça, it has a different type of players'

Edu Aguirre expressed it last night on El Chiringuito. He asked what playing well means and if it's important to play well. He explained the only thing Real Madrid lacks to "play well."

Edu Aguirre argues that Real Madrid doesn't need 15,000 passes to reach the opposing goal, as FC Barcelona does. He also doesn't expect a choral game from the whites. But he does find a deficit in Ancelotti's scheme that needs to be overcome.

This is how Edu Aguirre argued it last night on El Chiringuito

"Now they say Real Madrid doesn't play well, but they didn't play well when they won six Champions in the last ten years."

"Madrid Plays Badly... and Everyone Fears Them"

What is playing well? Is it so important to play well? The best Arsenal of the last 15, 20 years fears the supposedly worst Real Madrid of now.

You go through Munich, Manchester, Liverpool, Turin... and the rival they don't want is Real Madrid. Even playing as badly and horribly as they are playing.

Can Madrid play better? Of course. But Madrid has another kind of players who aren't choral, who will never play the game FC Barcelona plays.

They don't need 15,000 touches to reach the rival's goal.

I am passionate about seeing a run from Mbappé, a quick combination with Vinícius, with Rodrigo inside, Bellingham breaking lines. It's another type of game.

"Real Madrid Has to Defend Better"

However, Real Madrid has to defend better. And be motivated. Because defending is also an art.

What can't happen is for Ancelotti to crack the whip for the players to run. The players defend Madrid's badge, they have to run. And against Arsenal, they will run.

Real Madrid has to defend better, compactly. And when they have defended well and compactly is when we've seen an unbeatable Madrid.

I don't have the perception that Madrid is a disaster."

This is Edu Aguirre's theory shared by millions of Madridists around the world.
