Siro López is currently 'at odds' with Pedrerol, but several years ago (quite a few), it could be said that he was even the closest to his right-hand man. The Galician journalist was working on 'Punto Pelota', the program prior to 'El Chiringuito'. The relationship between them was very good, but it ended up deteriorating due to several arguments between them, which led to his departure from the television space.
Siro López Got Fed Up with Pedrerol
In the first installment of the program 'Comemos', Siro López didn't hold back about his relationship with Josep Pedrerol. In his words: "That program brought out the worst in me, which is also a part of me. I'm not saying I'm a saint, but it's true that I'm a very calm guy, and I prefer laughing to fighting. But when I'm pushed to the limit, I snap..."

In this regard, the Galician explained: "I was almost trying to find a definitive excuse, and he gave it to me: at the first opportunity".
Siro López didn't stop there, revealing how the negotiations to go to 'El Chiringuito' were: "I told him: 'Pay me what you consider'... but he said: 'You're going to earn the same as in 'Punto Pelota'. But, the first week comes, and he tells me: 'We need to talk, as I can't give you that'".

"He notified me to join a day before the presentation, I already noticed something", the Galician added.
Pedrerol's Offer: 'You're Going to Present...'
Having passed the time, already in 'El Chiringuito', Siro López told Pedrerol about his intention to leave the space. He indicated: "We're not going to argue about anything because I hadn't told you... but I have an offer since October from Mediaset, and I'm going to leave".
At that moment, Pedrerol tried to retain him in every possible way: "No, please, don't leave, you're an indisputable piece for me", he told Siro.
Concluding his explanation, Siro López revealed that Pedrerol even made him a tempting offer to stay. "Everything he argued with me at that moment turned into a yes to everything... and he even offered me to present the 'Jugones' program at noon with him. However, 15 days earlier, he had told me that they wouldn't take me because during the time I was on, the audience dropped. And I replied: 'You can't tell me that, for one minute I'm on, the program's audience will drop. This is a joke."
