There have been many doubts in Real Madrid regarding the situation of Miguel Gutiérrez. After three years at Girona, his return was on the table for Florentino Pérez, who only had to pay 8 million euros to bring him back for good. Nevertheless, the decision has been clear after discussing it with Xabi Alonso: he's not the required profile and they've chosen to bring back another academy player, Álvaro Carreras.
In this scenario, Miguel Gutiérrez is certain that he won't stay at Girona, where he has a contract until 2027. At 23 years old, he wants to make the leap to a top-level team, considering that Montilivi is now too small for him. He has several offers on the table that could bring great joy to Real Madrid, since they'll receive 50% of any transfer that is finalized.

Miguel Gutiérrez costs 35 million
Having paid four million in 2022 for half of his rights and considering that they won't receive the full amount of his transfer, Girona have gotten serious. At Montilivi, they refer to the release clause in his contract to let Miguel Gutiérrez leave. In other words, for his sale, they're demanding payment of 35 million euros.
With this in mind, at Real Madrid they're rubbing their hands at what could be a great financial operation. If Miguel ends up leaving for those 35 million euros, half would go to Madridists' accounts. This means that, without Florentino having to lift a finger, Madrid would receive about 17.5 "rocks."
He aims for Italy
As of today, everything seems to indicate that Miguel Gutiérrez's next destination will be Italy. Reports from there say that Napoli, recent Serie A champions, are in "pole position" to sign him. However, they're not the only Italian team to have shown interest, with Juventus watching from the sidelines.

In this regard, there could even be a third team waiting for the academy player from Real Madrid. We're talking about Milan, who are interested in Miguel Gutiérrez if Theo Hernández ends up leaving.
Any battle that may arise for him is positive for Madrid, who, without having to do anything, could receive a lot of money. Meanwhile, Girona refuse to negotiate and demand the 35 million from his clause. Miguel Gutiérrez could bring very good news to Bernabéu sooner rather than later.
