Two people on a sports television show discuss the league title, with a graphic at the top raising the question about Barcelona.

'It's Not That Big of a Deal.' Edu Aguirre Sums Up What Madridists Think: 'This Barça Doesn't...'

'Barça Was in Dire Straits, but Atlético Collapsed in the Last 20 Minutes,' States Edu Aguirre

As is customary after each Barça success, in Barcelona they are already ringing the bells after last night's 2-4 at El Metropolitano. They already see Barça as champions.

Edu Aguirre's Theory, Which Isn't New

Not everyone thinks the same. Edu Aguirre has maintained for months that Flick's Barça doesn't play at all, that it is inconsistent and unreliable, as was demonstrated at the Metropolitano.

This is how he explained his theory about Barça last night on El Chiringuito:

"A draw would have been better. But this result is misleading. Atleti has completely fallen apart.

"Barça Was in Deep Water Until Atlético Fell Apart"

If Simeone concedes four in 20 minutes, then it's over. Now let's see if they win the Copa del Rey.

But Barça didn't seem like a reliable team to me. They scored four, played well in the last half hour, and combined well, and Lamine appeared when he had to appear… Ferran scored two goals… Okay…

But Atlético de Madrid could have scored a few more goals.

They had more chances, especially in the first half, Barça didn't seem like a super reliable team to me.

It's not a 4-0 and then they scored two against you. Barça was in deep water and without having clear chances, passing the ball a lot until the 70th minute.

"Barça Hasn't Won Half the League"

But then Atlético de Madrid fell apart a lot.  I don't think it's fair to say that Barça has won half the league."

Edu Aguirre has been insisting for months on the unreliability of Flick's Barça, capable of the best and also the worst.

He also adds the merit that Real Madrid has, which, without being at their best, is up there competing with that team that is supposed to be so fantastic.

Edu Aguirre usually gives doses of realism to Barcelona's fans, who are used to celebrating titles prematurely. People need to be told the truth.
