Miserable official message from Barça against Luka Modric: 'His last service was...'

FC Barcelona uses its official broadcast to mock a legend like Modric: it is unacceptable

Barcelona couldn't have sunk any lower after what happened during the broadcast of its friendly match against Seoul. It is a team without direction and this can be seen in every way, even on its own official channel. While they cry because Real Madrid complains about the referees, they use their own channel to publicly mock great legends in front of more than 1 million viewers.

In the broadcast aired on its YouTube channel after having failed with "Culers Premium," its lowest blow has arrived. The match commentator took the opportunity to send a particularly mean jab at a legend of the stature of Luka Modric, recalling "his last great service" in the Copa del Rey final.

"We haven't paid the tribute Luka Modric deserves from here. His last great service was the pass to Koundé in the Copa del Rey final," was said on Barça's official channel. Immediately after, trying to backtrack, they said it was a joke, stating that "Modric is a great player" with an "unbelievable career."

No one in Real Madrid could believe these words. They don't understand why Barça TV has to treat a legend of Modric's stature so poorly. In any case, from Valdebebas they are clear that they don't intend to stoop to their level, ruling out issuing a statement to demand explanations.

Luka Modric, an unreachable legend

Luka Modric is living history of Real Madrid. The Croatian, who arrived at Bernabéu in 2012 from Tottenham, has built a career that will forever be etched in the memory of Madridists. With 597 official matches, Modric has become one of the most important players of the club's latest golden era.

During his time at Madrid, the "10" has achieved 43 goals and 95 assists, but his impact goes far beyond the numbers. He has been the engine, the balance, and the soul of the midfield. His connection with Kroos and Casemiro formed one of the most dominant trios in recent European soccer history.

Modric has won every possible title with Real Madrid: 6 Champions Leagues, 4 La Ligas, 2 Copas del Rey, 5 Club World Cups, among others. In 2018, he crowned his career by winning the Ballon d'Or, surpassing legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi, something unthinkable in an era dominated by them.

At 39, Modric keeps showing unmatched technical quality and vision of play. Although his role has changed in recent months, his influence in the locker room and on the field remains enormous. He is an example both on and off the field.

Luka Modric has not only been a great footballer at Real Madrid: he has been a legend in capital letters. Even though Barça tries to mock him.
