Mbappé's departure still stings in Paris. PSG makes its offer for Vinícius: €250M

Radical change: from 1 billion (1,000 million) to 250 million. Florentino no longer protects Vini

When PSG asked Real Madrid about Vinícius Júnior in November, the response was blunt: "1 billion or nothing" (1,000 million).

Florentino Pérez, convinced that the Brazilian was untouchable, didn't even want to sit down to negotiate.

The message was clear: number 7 at Real Madrid is not for sale. You can look, but you can't touch.

However, only eight months have passed and everything has changed. Today, that same offer, which was then rejected with disdain, no longer seems so outlandish in the offices at Valdebebas.

Psg returns with 250 million

The French club won't give up. Mbappé's departure still stings at Parc des Princes. In Paris, they need a response in the form of a new superstar who will once again fill jerseys, headlines, and trophy cabinets.

That's why they've come back with a formal proposal: 250 million euros for Vinícius Júnior. Luis Enrique, whom Nasser Al-Khelaïfi denies nothing, is betting on the Brazilian for his team.

It's a staggering figure, the highest ever paid for a footballer if it goes through, and right now Florentino isn't ruling out accepting it. Not just because of the amount: also because of the player's personal and contractual situation.

The relationship is broken

The romance between Vinícius and Real Madrid is at its lowest point. The negotiation for his contract renewal has turned sour.

The player's camp is demanding a salary increase that surpasses Kylian Mbappé's, something Florentino refuses to accept. He believes that breaking the wage structure in the locker room would be a serious strategic mistake.

On top of that, there's a tense relationship with his entourage, which in recent months has sent not-so-friendly messages to the club.

At Valdebebas, they no longer see Vinícius as the humble boy who arrived at 16 (16 years old) from Flamengo. Now he's a figure who thinks more about his personal brand than the badge he wears.

Florentino no longer sees him as essential

While in the past Vini was considered "non-negotiable," the scenario has completely changed.

With Mbappé thriving, Bellingham and Güler established, and young Endrick and Gonzalo on their way, the club believes it could cover his departure without losing competitiveness... and pocket a historic sum.

If Vinícius insists on leaving or demanding more than the club can pay, Florentino won't stop him. This time there won't be a 1 billion (1,000 million) clause or blunt messages. If PSG puts 250 (250 million) on the table, the door will open without looking back.
