Manolo Lama points to the culprit behind Real Madrid's debacle against PSG: 'It's...'

The 'COPE' commentator doesn't hold back and is blunt after what happened in the PSG-Real Madrid match

Paris-Saint Germain overwhelmingly defeated Real Madrid, handing them a 4-0 loss in the FIFA Club World Cup semifinals. After all the effort, Xabi's side won't be able to play in the finals of this tournament that's distributing so many millions all over the world. From the first minute, the Merengue squad was unrecognizable and overwhelmed by the recent European champion.

As a result of what happened, Manolo Lama, renowned 'COPE' commentator, has spoken out. The journalist hasn't held back, unlike what everyone else is doing, he hasn't wanted to single out anyone from Madrid.

"They scored 5 against Inter, 4 against Atlético de Madrid, today 4 against Madrid and playing at a walking pace. Don't look for culprits, the culprit is PSG," Manolo Lama pointed out on his X account.

Reconstruction underway for Real Madrid

With Xabi Alonso's arrival on the bench, Real Madrid has begun a deep reconstruction of its squad with the goal of renewing the project without losing its winning ambition. The club has already activated several key moves in the transfer market to strengthen the team's structure.

Promising names like Arnold, Dean Huijsen, and Mastantuono, young footballers with great potential, have joined the club. Álvaro Carreras, a left back from Benfica, will soon join them to strengthen the left flank and provide depth and defensive work.

Meanwhile, some significant departures have been confirmed. Luka Modric, Jesús Vallejo, and Lucas Vázquez won't continue at the club, in a decision that reflects Madrid's intention to rejuvenate the locker room. They won't be the only ones: more departures are expected in the coming weeks to make room for new signings and give prominence to the new generation.

The sporting management, with the support of Florentino Pérez, has placed full trust in Xabi Alonso as the architect of Madrid's future. The reconstruction is underway and promises to mark the beginning of a new era at Santiago Bernabéu. Despite the tough defeat against Paris-Saint Germain, there is maximum confidence in the new project and a new season full of good play and titles is expected.
