Juanma Rodríguez Says What Everyone Thinks: 'someone Has Decided That...'

Juanma Rodríguez talks about a 'global scandal' and proposes 'withdrawing the team from LaLiga and letting the kids play.'

Juanma Rodríguez, the popular Madridist panelist from El Chiringuito, has made an appeal through a video.

The refereeing scandal of the Barça-Rayo match that has allowed Flick's team to reach the top after deducting seven points from Real Madrid has exhausted his patience.

"I'd Retire and Put the Kids to Play"

He asks Florentino Pérez to react and do something because this doesn't seem like it's going to be fixed. Juanma Rodríguez proposes withdrawing the team from the league competition.

"Well, that's it. Have you seen what happened in Barcelona? They don't care, Madrid can go, José Ángel Sánchez can go, Florentino Pérez…

It's clear that they've got Real Madrid's number. And someone has decided at the top, for whatever reason, that Barcelona has to win LaLiga this year. And that's it.

What would I do? I'd retire, put the kids to play. If it doesn't matter to you.

If the feeling in Real Madrid's locker room is that it doesn't matter what they do on the field.

"It's a Global Scandal Week After Week"

And they don't care if you point fingers at them: Have you seen what happened in Barcelona?

And now what, Martín Presa? What do you say now? It's a global scandal week after week. And they don't care."

Juanma Rodríguez conveys the sense of helplessness with the referees that overwhelms Real Madrid. Week after week, the white team is harmed and the blue and garnet team is favored.

What seems clear is that Real Madrid's public statement hasn't fixed the situation of Spanish soccer.  It has only managed to predispose the referees even more against the white team.

The Referees' Reaction to Real Madrid's Statement

Florentino took a risk by calling for a thorough renewal of the refereeing body. And there they have entrenched themselves, responding with refereeing performances that prove Juanma Rodríguez right.

Has someone decided that the champion has to be Barça? If not, it seems so.

Juanma Rodríguez denounces the privileged situation that FC Barcelona is experiencing, always playing with the refereeing wind in their favor. And that's even without Negreira.
