Josep Pedrerol Denounces the Red Card to Vinícius in Valencia: 'He's Expelled for...'

The host of "El Chiringuito" defends Vinícius Júnior after what happened at Mestalla.

Josep Pedrerol couldn't believe it when he saw Vinícius Júnior's expulsion against Valencia, something he later exemplified on El Chiringuito. The host was adamant about the red card given to the Brazilian at Mestalla for a slight push on Dimitrievski, asserting that he had no intention of causing harm.

"4 matches for a slight push, when there are players who go in with studs to injure, 0 matches. Vinícius, I've criticized him, he can't fall for provocations, however, today I'm on Vinícius's side. He's expelled because he's Vinícius, for me, yes," stated Pedrerol on the latest episode of El Chiringuito.

In this regard, Josep Pedrerol is also clear that the match referee, Soto Grado, should have been shown the full image. From the VAR, they only showed him Vinícius Júnior's push, but they ignored the touch given moments before by Valencia's goalkeeper, trying to provoke him. The Real Madrid player fell into the trap set for him and was expelled.

Vinícius: Trap in Valencia for the Real Madrid Star

After what happened at Mestalla, it's clear that Valencia had a trap set for the Real Madrid forward. From the very beginning, the reception was hostile despite the help when the DANA passed. Chants against him, boos, and even laughter when he failed. The rival players went after him at all times, trying to provoke him.

Finally, the forward fell for the provocation and ended up expelled with the help of the refereeing body. They ignored Dimitrievski's prior touch in the VAR replay and, as Josep Pedrerol says, they simply expelled him for being Vinícius. They have no other reason and will always try to do it this way...

"He Was Expelled for Hitting an Opponent"

After the match between Valencia and Real Madrid, Soto Grado wrote in the report: "In the 79th minute, player (7) De Oliveira Do Nascimento, Vinícius José was expelled for the following reason: For deliberately hitting an opponent in the head, without the ball being in play, using non-insignificant force."

"Once expelled, the said player had to be restrained by members of his club and taken to the locker room while he continued his protests," concluded the referee about the unjust expulsion of Vinícius.
