Josep Pedrerol Surprises: Florentino Wants 3 Coaches for Real Madrid

The host of 'El Chiringuito' is clear: Florentino has 3 options on the table to coach Real Madrid

Real Madrid Faces a Complicated Planning for Next Season. Florentino Pérez knows he can't fail and keeps all options open for the coach position. At the moment, although Carlo Ancelotti seemed to be out, his continuity next season is not ruled out, something that Josep Pedrerol has stated. The Catalan, always well-connected, has surprised by putting the Italian coach's continuity on the table.

Carlo Ancelotti May Stay at Real Madrid

In the latest episode of "El Chiringuito," Pedrerol pointed out: "Ancelotti is there. Madrid knows it, it's possible. Florentino hasn't talked to anyone: 'My coach is Ancelotti and he's untouchable.' At Madrid, they believe they can win La Liga: with a slip from Barça, Madrid is champion. If Real Madrid wins La Liga, we're talking about a different scenario."

If Ancelotti doesn't achieve the goal of winning La Liga and leaves, other scenarios are possible. Josep Pedrerol has been clear about what Florentino thinks: "There are 3 scenarios: Ancelotti's continuity, the arrival of Xabi Alonso and, very unlikely, Klopp." The host of "El Chiringuito" continued: "If Ancelotti leaves, it would be 80% Xabi Alonso and 20% Klopp."

Xabi Alonso, the Main Alternative

It has been a program with a lot of information from Josep Pedrerol, who continued explaining: "The fact that Xabi Alonso has been at Madrid for five years and knows the club is something that is valued very positively, they are points in his favor. Klopp is also someone highly valued."

Finally, he concluded: "If La Liga is won, it would be very difficult for Ancelotti to leave Real Madrid. Otherwise, the first option is Xabi Alonso, and it's ruled out that Arbeloa would be his second."

Xabi Alonso is emerging as the favorite to take the reins of Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti doesn't continue at the helm of the white bench. The Tolosa native, who has had a historic season at Bayer Leverkusen, is the option that most appeals to Florentino Pérez to lead the new Madrid project.

His play style, competitive character, and deep knowledge of the club make him the ideal candidate to lead the team in a new stage full of ambition.

According to various media reports, the president has already taken the first steps, and Xabi Alonso might even be assembling his future coaching staff. The idea is that, if his arrival is confirmed, he would come with his own team, made up of people he trusts the most, allowing him to implement his philosophy from day one.

Xabi Alonso already knows the white house perfectly, where he played between 2009 and 2014, leaving an indelible mark in the midfield. Now, with an ascending career as a coach, he is seen as Ancelotti's natural successor. As of today, barring an unexpected turn, everything points to Santiago Bernabéu bench having a new owner: the one from Tolosa.
