José Félix Díaz Announces Surprise Departure at Real Madrid: ‘Dortmund Offers…’

Borussia Dortmund has submitted a formal offer to take him from Real Madrid this summer

Real Madrid continues planning the squad for next season, but unexpected proposals often arise. The latest has come directly from Dortmund, with the German side showing serious interest in a Madrid youth academy product. Specifically, we're talking about Diego Aguado, 18 years old, one of the best defenders from La Fábrica, whose contract is valid until June 30, 2029.

Dortmund offers €6M for Diego Aguado

José Félix Díaz has revealed in Marca that Borussia Dortmund has put a firm proposal on Real Madrid's table. In total, for Diego Aguado they're offering €6 million with the intention of signing him on a permanent transfer.

In this regard, Real Madrid's executives have listened to Dortmund's proposal and have also spoken with Aguado's agent, Juanma López. As of today, "the only urgency" with the youth player is for him to attend the Club World Cup in the United States. Once it concludes, there will be time to discuss his future and to make a decision on any matter.

Diego Aguado isn't the only player Borussia Dortmund is interested in. In Italy, a Serie A team has directly inquired about his situation, although so far they haven't made an offer. For now, no decision is expected in this regard, as a waiting period has begun that will end upon returning from the United States in July.

Diego Aguado: The next gem of Real Madrid

Diego Aguado is one of the youth players with the greatest potential in La Fábrica at Real Madrid. At 18 years old, the young center-back from Madrid has already debuted with the first team in an official match, specifically in the Copa del Rey against Minera. This is an important step for a footballer who aims high.

Trained from the lower categories in Valdebebas, Aguado stands out for his tactical intelligence, clean ball movement, and remarkable versatility. Although his natural position is center-back, he can also play as a left-back, which makes him a very useful defensive asset for any coach. His strength in one-on-one situations, speed in interceptions, and on-field personality have caught the attention of the coaching staff.

Xabi Alonso and Madrid's sporting management are closely following him, aware that the club needs to keep supplying the first team with homegrown talent. Diego Aguado perfectly represents the profile of a modern defender: reliable, technical, and able to adapt to different systems.

Real Madrid's future depends on its youth academy, and Diego Aguado is ready to make the definitive leap to the Madrid elite. But, as José Félix Díaz has revealed, Dortmund are on the hunt...
