Javier Tebas positions himself against Real Madrid and calls Florentino 'corrupt'

Tebas sides with Barça and sends a poisoned message to Florentino, linking him to corruption

As expected, the self-proclaimed "Madridist" Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, has positioned himself against Real Madrid and in favor of Barça regarding the harsh arbitration letter from Florentino Pérez.

Real Madrid sent a formal complaint to the CSD and the RFEF through a letter denouncing the arbitration performance in Cornellà. Muñiz Ruíz and Iglesias Villanueva did so poorly that they have been punished with suspension.

Tebas responds to Florentino Pérez

Meanwhile, Javier Tebas, the millionaire president of LaLiga, who is also vice president of the Federation, wasted no time in responding.

He did so through his account on X. In his reply, he clearly positions himself against Real Madrid and especially Florentino Pérez.

He accuses him of "being lukewarm" and not "proposing solutions" when the arbitration issue was raised in the Federation in his presence. And he hints at some relationship of his with "corrupt systems."

"Nothing different from what was said in Real Madrid TV videos"

"I was not surprised at all by Real Madrid's letter, as it says nothing different from what their television has been repeating for a while," says Javier Tebas.

He adds: "Many of us advocate for a radical change in the arbitration system, moving closer to the English or German model. With a completely different organization and much more transparency in all the structural decisions of Spanish arbitration."

He directly goes for Florentino Pérez's jugular. "What is truly striking is that, in a LaLiga meeting on April 19, 2023, we discussed and even voted on this change. And Real Madrid opposed it, being lukewarm and not proposing solutions.

Could it have something to do with the fact that, at that time, the president of the RFEF was Rubiales and Florentino Pérez was a member of the RFEF's Board of Directors?" says Tebas.

He recalls regarding the Negreira case that "and mind you, the 'Negreira' case was already in court, and Real Madrid took weeks to get involved. Why?"

"Corruption? Few lessons can be given, and I'm not referring to Real Madrid"

He concludes: "By the way, regarding 'corrupt systems,' few lessons can be given. And I'm not referring to Real Madrid as an institution."

If he is not referring to Real Madrid, is he talking about Florentino Pérez? What does Florentino Pérez have to do with corrupt systems?

From a Spanish sports leader with a multimillion-dollar salary, more is expected than throwing the stone and hiding the hand.

Real Madrid has been clear in its complaint. Javier Tebas has not. It's not new either.
