Guti Warns Barça: 'They Think They're Going to Win Everything and Won't Win Anything'

Guti Advises Caution to Barcelona Because Grades Are Given at the End of the Season

Former Real Madrid footballer Guti gave a dose of realism to FC Barcelona last night on El Chiringuito.

The program debated whether the blaugrana team can win the treble. Some voices already spoke of a sextuple, implying the excessive euphoria that is being experienced in Barcelona.

Guti advised caution. Seasoned in a thousand battles, he knows that things can go wrong in the final months. It is the moment when you precisely play everything against the greats.

"Grades Are Given at the End of the Season"

This is how Guti explained himself last night on El Chiringuito:

"If I see Real Madrid's dynamic and Barcelona's dynamic,  everything indicates that it is closer to Barcelona than to Real Madrid.

Evidently, because their dynamic is much better than Real Madrid's. This is how it is. But in these very important clubs, when there is so little time left, grades are given at the end.

It is true that  it is very nice to be at the top thinking you are going to win everything and then win nothing.

This can happen, and it does. There are many moments when you think you are going to win everything and in the end, you win nothing.

You don't face minor teams. You face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. Semifinals against Inter, and you are playing La Liga against Real Madrid.

Guti Advises Caution Amid the Euphoria in Barcelona

On top of that, there is a match left between the two. One must be very cautious. But it is true that if I am a soccer fan and I am neither from Madrid nor Barça, Barça's dynamic is much better than Real Madrid's."

Guti, in any case, sees Real Madrid as the Copa del Rey champion and, therefore, doesn't see Barça capable of achieving the treble: La Liga, Copa, and Champions League.

For Guti, La Liga is not lost for the white team because the Montjuïc clásico can be decisive if it leans toward the Madrid side, something that can never be ruled out.
