Florian Wirtz Makes Last-Minute Turn in His Future: Decided! Neither Madrid nor Bayern

The German completely changes his plans despite Xabi Alonso's signing by Real Madrid

Since Xabi Alonso's arrival at Real Madrid, rumors placing Florian Wirtz at Santiago Bernabéu gained strength again, but it won't be so. Despite being a personal request from the Basque coach to Florentino Pérez, the German midfielder  has decided to part ways with the man who, until now, was his coach. He won't play for the white team, nor will he play for Bayern, which seemed his most likely destination.

Neither Madrid nor Bayern: Florian Wirtz is going to Liverpool

At 22 years old, Wirtz was clear that he needed to leave Leverkusen after two great years there. He was one of the big attractions of the summer and already has a new destination: he will become a new player for Liverpool. The information from Sky Germany is clear: there is a verbal agreement between both parties for his signing this very market, rejecting other important offers.

In this regard, Florian Wirtz has communicated to Leverkusen that he only wants to play for Liverpool, asking them to reach an agreement. It seems this could happen sooner than expected, with the 'reds' having activated the direct line to ensure this signing doesn't slip away. The transfer price will be over 130 million euros and under 150 'rocks', moving within those ranges.

Taking this into account, Florian Wirtz will become the third most expensive footballer in history, only behind Neymar (222) and Mbappé (180), when they went to PSG.

Liverpool will secure a strategic signing

Florian Wirtz has established himself as one of the best footballers in Europe at just 22 years old. The German attacking midfielder has been one of the great sensations of the season, achieving records within reach of very few: 16 goals and 15 assists in 45 official matches. His role has been key in Bayer Leverkusen's spectacular season, which, despite this, hasn't been able to replicate their great season from last year.

Wirtz stands out for his intelligence on the field, his vision of the game, and his ability to constantly create danger. He is a footballer with exquisite technique, capable of threading impossible passes, breaking lines with his dribbling, and scoring goals easily from the edge of the box. Additionally, his capacity for sacrifice and tactical maturity make him a complete player.

Many consider him the natural heir to Toni Kroos in Germany, but his offensive profile also reminds of figures like Thomas Müller or even Lionel Messi, due to his ability to find spaces and decide matches. Florian Wirtz is not only present but also future. His name has been on the agenda of the big clubs, and everything points to he will mark an era at Liverpool.
