Florentino Gets Ahead and Takes it from Laporta: Signing Sealed for Real Madrid

Real Madrid and Barça were fighting for the same player, who has ended up leaning toward Florentino Pérez's proposal.

Florentino has succeeded after weeks of negotiations. Real Madrid and Barça were competing for the same player, but finally David Kramer will head to the capital of Spain. The German, who just turned 28, finishes his contract this summer and has everything agreed with Chus Mateo's team, which will welcome him with open arms... in need of a scoring guard like him.

Journalist Óscar Herreros has indicated that the Real Madrid is in the "pole position" to secure the signing of David Kramer. He would arrive as a free agent, after finishing his contract with La Laguna Tenerife, where he is averaging 12.5 points in the ACB. He is a shooting guard, with shooting percentages of 55.3% from 2-point range, and 43.1% from 3-point range.

David Kramer Chooses Real Madrid: Florentino's Approval

David Kramer hasn't lacked offers. Not only did Real Madrid and Barça want him... although the truth is that they are the two who fought to the end for the German. After analyzing all the proposals he had, including the one from the club presided over by Laporta, he has ended up choosing the whites.

David Kramer Considers Real Madrid the Best Possible Project in Europe, rejecting higher amounts of money from other clubs. He is eager to land in the capital of Spain, knowing he will have an important role for Chus Mateo.

Tension at Barça: Laporta Dismantles Basketball

The truth is that Real Madrid is currently far above Barcelona. Since his return, Laporta has been gradually dismantling the basketball section. First, by dismissing Mirotic, Higgins, and Jasikevicius, and now by significantly reducing its budget.

The news coming from Barcelona is not good at all, indicating that key players in their current project like Kevin Punter, Metu, and Anderson may leave for free this summer. There is no money for their renewals, and the future is not positive at all in the Palau.

Meanwhile, as all this is happening in Barcelona, with Joan Laporta making decisions from above, Florentino intends to give even more support to Real Madrid's basketball. It is true that things aren't going well this season... but for next year, they want to improve again, bringing in, among others, a player of David Kramer's caliber.
