Florentino Confirms It is Impossible: A Transfer Falls Through for Real Madrid

Real Madrid's president has received confirmation: There is no deal and the agreement has fallen through

Florentino Pérez has tried until the last moment, but he already knows the operation is impossible. The arrival of  Trent Alexander-Arnold  at Real Madrid can't be moved up to the January market due to the refusal conveyed by Liverpool. The red club doesn't want to part with its full-back, even though he could leave completely for free in the coming months. The plan is clear: If he wants to see out his contract, let him, but he won't weaken the team now.

Journalist  Bruno Alemany  explained it on Cadena SER, indicating that Trent Alexander-Arnold won't leave Liverpool this season. Unless there's an unexpected turn, the Englishman will complete the remainder of the season at Anfield, seeing out his contract. The reds are immersed in the fight for all titles and  have no intention of losing such an important player in Arne Slot's plans.

At the moment, Trent Alexander-Arnold shares the right-back position with the very young Northern Irishman Conor Bradley. If he were to leave, it would leave Liverpool's team with only one player in that position, which would be a significant disadvantage. The only thing that could change everything is if a player offered himself as a bargain, able to fill Arnold's position for the rest of the season and the coming years.

Rain of Millions from Liverpool for Trent Alexander-Arnold to Reject Florentino Pérez

It seemed that Trent Alexander-Arnold had everything set with Real Madrid for the next season, but everything might have changed in the last few hours. Mirror has discovered that Liverpool has made a recent move to try to convince the full-back to renew his contract. It ends next June 30 and he has the possibility to renew it for five more seasons.

In those five years, Liverpool has made a proposal to Alexander-Arnold of 93 million euros gross. This would mean he would earn 18.6 "rocks" annually. We would be talking about figures higher than what he would earn at Real Madrid, which is operating with lower numbers. However, in both agreements, there would be a key difference.

While staying at Liverpool wouldn't grant him any bonus, deciding to go to Madrid would grant him a transfer bonus at the time of transfer. This makes the balance tilt, for now, toward Florentino. The white president sees the possible arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold to strengthen the right flank at zero cost very close.

So far, the only thing that seems confirmed is that Alexander-Arnold won't play at Real Madrid this season. The next one remains to be seen.
