Fabrizio Romano Leaks Ancelotti’s Destination after Madrid: ‘He Just Needs to Sign’

The renowned Italian journalist already takes for granted which team Carlo Ancelotti will coach next

Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the 2024-25 season to take on the role of Brazil's national team coach. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between the Italian coach and the Brazilian Football Confederation is finalized, pending the official signature. Ancelotti, who has a contract with the white club until 2026, will end his second stint on the merengue bench a year earlier than planned.

Xabi Alonso Will Take Over from Ancelotti

In his place, Xabi Alonso will be the new coach of Real Madrid. The Spanish coach, who currently manages Bayer Leverkusen, has reached an agreement to sign a three-year contract with the Madrid club. Alonso, a former Madrid player, has had a successful stint in Germany, leading Leverkusen to win their first Bundesliga undefeated and winning the German Cup.

The official presentation of Alonso as the new coach of Real Madrid is expected in the coming weeks, once Carlo Ancelotti has coached his last match with the white team. Xabi Alonso's debut on the white bench will not occur at the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States starting June 18. The idea is for Santiago Solari, the current director of football, to take on the role temporarily during that tournament.

Xabi Alonso's arrival at Madrid marks the beginning of a new era at Madrid, with a young coach and a modern vision of soccer. His experience as a player and his success at Leverkusen make him an exciting prospect for the club's future.

Ancelotti Goes to Brazil: Rejection of Saudi Arabia

At times, it seemed that Ancelotti's possible move to Brazil could fall through. A proposal from Saudi Arabia emerged, where Carletto would have earned 50 million per season to coach Al-Hilal. But the reality is that he rejected this proposal at all times, as it is a destination he doesn't like and doesn't find attractive at all. He had no intention of accepting this multimillion-dollar offer, ruling out this possibility.

As Fabrizio Romano has said in recent hours, Ancelotti is going to Brazil. He will be the new coach of the Canarinha, trying to restore the best version of the national team. There he will reunite with Rodrygo, Vinícius, and other players from Real Madrid. It always seemed like his ideal destination.
