Dani Carvajal Sets a Definitive Date for His Return with Real Madrid: There's a Surprise

Real Madrid's full-back speaks openly about his plans and hopes to return sooner than expected

Dani Carvajal has reappeared in public  after some time, speaking at the San Isidro festivities. The starting right-back and one of Real Madrid's captains has been injured since October 5, 2025... having missed almost the entire season. He is proving to be a key absence in the fight for all titles, but the Spanish international has already set a date for his return: it will be sooner than expected.

Dani Carvajal, ready for the Club World Cup

Asked about his availability for the upcoming Club World Cup, which will be held between June 14 and July 13, Carvajal was clear: "That is the goal, it is the challenge". It is the date he has set to return to the field, trying to help Madrid, which will only have his teammate Lucas Vázquez for the position.

For some weeks now, Real Madrid has been trying to negotiate with Liverpool to bring forward Arnold's signing. Everything is set with the Englishman to arrive on a free transfer, coinciding with the end of his contract on June 30. Despite this, he could not be registered for the Club World Cup, being in full swing. Low figures have been discussed with the reds to close a transfer, but there is no agreement, and it seems very complicated.

That's why Dani Carvajal wants to be available for the revamped Club World Cup. Where, besides prestige, there are many millions at stake. It will not be an easy competition for Real Madrid, which also will not have a permanent coach, with Santiago Solari chosen as interim for this challenging tournament.

Dani Carvajal, a key absence for Real Madrid

Carvajal is much more than a right-back at Real Madrid. He is hierarchy, commitment, and balance in defense. His prolonged absence due to injury this season has had a direct impact on the team's results. The white club has not been able to win either the Champions League or the Copa del Rey, and the League is very complicated. Without the Spanish international on the field, the merengue team has lost solidity on the right flank and has struggled to contain high-level opponents.

Carvajal not only contributes in defense, but he is also a reliable outlet with the ball, interprets spaces very well, and projects into the attack intelligently. His experience in big matches and his connection with the heavyweights in the locker room make him essential in any coach's plans.

Neither Lucas Vázquez nor Asencio have been able to replace him with guarantees at right-back. Carvajal's absence has weighed too heavily in key moments. In Madrid, they know: to aspire to everything again next season, his full recovery is essential. Dani is the heart of the right flank... and without him, the team has lost its competitive soul.
