Florentino Pérez doesn't want to continue subsidising the Liga F. At the General Assembly of LaLiga held last Friday, there was again a clash between Real Madrid and Tebas. On this occasion, the general manager of Real Madrid, José Ángel Sánchez, expressed his disagreement with continuing to pay the million-dollar subsidy that is allocated to the women's competition in Spain.
In total, LaLiga clubs will pay 42 million euros over five years to financially support the Liga F. This is divided between 6 million in the first season, 8 in the last and current seasons, and 10 million in the next two. These amounts pocketed by the LaLiga clubs are recovered based on the commercial agreements reached by Women's Football.
Madrid believes that the Liga F should not continue to be subsidised when it can already be profitable thanks to its commercial agreements. At the moment , it receives around 7 million euros from DAZN and, in addition, it receives another subsidy of 5 million from the CSD. Florentino Pérez believes that each club should pay its own expenses, with 13 Liga F competitors being teams that belong to men's clubs.
Florentino Pérez Has a Plan for Real Madrid Women
What the president of Real Madrid is clear about is that each club must have its own budget without receiving money from other teams. In the case of the Real Madrid women's section, Florentino Pérez has been increasing its budget season after season since its creation .
At the beginning, it only had a budget of 3 million to compete in the F League, whereas now it already has the second largest in the competition. In total, the Real Madrid women's team currently has a budget of 9 million euros, also being the third club that generates the most income (7.4).
The women's section of Real Madrid continues to grow, being one of the teams that moves the most money in all of Europe despite not having won a title yet . It is still in the shadow of Barça , but Florentino Pérez has a plan that will take place little by little.
