Marcos Benito, journalist for El Chiringuito, stated: " Madrid have until June 30 to bring Nico Paz back for 8 million (€8 million). Real Madrid still hold 50% of his rights and a first refusal option, but it would be until June 30; otherwise, they'd have to wait until the following season."
In this regard, he added: "That's the deadline. They also told me he's not in the plans for the Club World Cup, it would be for after that."
Nico Paz, future in doubt
At 20 years old, Nico Paz has stood out this season at Como, but his future is in doubt. Right now, the coach who made him shine, Cesc Fàbregas, seems to intend to leave the project to join a rival in Italy: Inter.
With 6 goals and 9 assists in 35 matches, the Spanish-Argentine has become one of the great promises in soccer. Half of Europe want him, but Real Madrid hold all the cards.
