El Chiringuito announces a surprise regarding Nico Paz's future: Xabi Alonso's approval

Nico Paz's situation has changed, and his return to Real Madrid will have to wait: there's a new date

Real Madrid is still planning the squad for next season, but there's a target hanging in the air. We're talking about academy product Nico Paz, whose return was taken for granted and is now in doubt. There's a clause allowing him to return for just 8 million euros (€8 million), but El Chiringuito has uncovered a change in plans.

Marcos Benito, journalist for El Chiringuito, stated: " Madrid have until June 30 to bring Nico Paz back for 8 million (€8 million). Real Madrid still hold 50% of his rights and a first refusal option, but it would be until June 30; otherwise, they'd have to wait until the following season."

In this regard, he added: "That's the deadline. They also told me he's not in the plans for the Club World Cup, it would be for after that."

Nico Paz, future in doubt

At 20 years old, Nico Paz has stood out this season at Como, but his future is in doubt. Right now, the coach who made him shine, Cesc Fàbregas, seems to intend to leave the project to join a rival in Italy: Inter.

With 6 goals and 9 assists in 35 matches, the Spanish-Argentine has become one of the great promises in soccer. Half of Europe want him, but Real Madrid hold all the cards. Looking ahead, they still have a clause to bring him back at a bargain price when his valuation is already close to 40 million euros (€40 million).

Meanwhile, Madrid-Barcelona has learned that a return to Madrid isn't ruled out so he could leave again. If he changes teams, Cesc Fàbregas would want him in his project at Inter. What Nico Paz is clear about is that he'll only leave Como to go somewhere he can play; he doesn't care where, although he prioritizes Madrid.

Real Madrid has the final say with Nico Paz

In 2025, they'd pay just 8 million euros (€8 million), while after that, for each season that passes, another million would be added: 9 in 2026 and 10 in 2027 (€9 million in 2026 and €10 million in 2027).

Right now, as El Chiringuito has reported, nobody knows what will happen with him. Nico Paz has his bags packed in case he has to change teams. The only thing that's clear as of today is that he won't play in the Club World Cup with Real Madrid.
