Real Madrid hasn't completed the season they desired in their basketball section. So far, they haven't been able to win the Cup and have been eliminated in the Euroleague, leaving the ACB as the only option to save the bad year. The summer signings haven't worked as wanted, and Florentino is moving to turn this situation around. A busy summer is expected in the offices, but what no one had in mind is the signing being negotiated: the return of Nikola Mirotic.

Nikola Mirotic: Second Stage at Real Madrid
Brais, founder of the portal 24SegundosEnBlanco has revealed that Real Madrid is considering the possible return of Nikola Mirotic. The Montenegrin power forward was trained in the Madrid youth academy and played in the first team until he made the jump to the NBA in 2014. After playing for the Bulls, Pelicans, and Bucks until 2019, Mirotic chose to return to Europe, but he did so betraying the club that helped him grow, heading to Barcelona.
He was at FC Barcelona for four years, until 2023, where even after being named one of the captains, Joan Laporta decided to show him the door. Nikola Mirotic saw a contract terminated for which he was the highest-paid in Europe, having an NBA player's salary. He immediately headed to Olimpia Milano, where he is now, and things haven't worked out too well for him, at least in the Euroleague.
He has a contract in Milan until 2026, so he would have to negotiate a termination to return to Real Madrid. He is willing to do so, with his family fighting to return to live in the capital of Spain, where they were so happy.

Florentino Consults and Accepts: Nikola Mirotic to Real Madrid
The former player Sergio Rodríguez has joined the organizational structure of Real Madrid, although it hasn't been made official yet. According to the aforementioned information, he is the great supporter of Nikola Mirotic's return. This signing already has the approval of the locker room, led by their "capi" Sergio Llull, who has already smoothed things over with the Spanish-Montenegrin after his departure to Barça.
Florentino, moreover, has consulted the return of Nikola Mirotic with his unofficial basketball advisor, Antonio García Ferreras. The journalist, a close friend of the president of Real Madrid and with a voice and vote in the section's decisions, has also given his approval to the return of the 34-year-old player.
