New Costco stores are coming to these U.S. states in August: Find out where

With new openings on the way, Costco is getting ready to surprise its customers in different regions of the U.S

Costco doesn't stop. Amid inflation and strong competition, Costco is committed to continuing its expansion. This August, four new stores will open their doors in different regions of the country, strengthening the brand's national presence.

Costco makes a strong impact in the market

Costco is much more than a supermarket. Since its founding in 1983, it has built a solid reputation based on good prices, wholesale sales, and an efficient shopping experience. Its membership model sets it apart from its competitors: to shop, you need to be a member.

Costco has more than 800 stores in the U.S. and a presence in countries such as Mexico, Canada, Spain, and Japan. Its growth has been steady, and the numbers prove it: in June 2025 alone, sales increased by 8% compared to the previous year, surpassing $26 billion.

New openings confirmed for August

Amid this expansion, Costco announced the opening of four new stores in the United States. Two of them already have set dates:

  • The Villages, Florida – Opening: August 6, 2025
  • Allen, Texas – Opening: August 8, 2025
  • Richland, Washington – Date to be announced
  • Spring Valley, Nevada – Date to be confirmed

These locations are no coincidence. They are growing areas with great potential customers and demand. The company seeks to get closer to the local consumer and keep gaining ground against its competitors.

In an increasingly competitive market

Retail in the United States is more competitive than ever. Companies such as Walmart, Target, Aldi, and Lidl compete to attract consumers who seek low prices and quality. Although Walmart still leads in volume, Costco keeps a very loyal clientele thanks to its unique proposition.

In addition, Costco hasn't been immune to price increases. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average cost of its products rose by 0.3%. Its CEO, Ron Vachris, says they review prices daily and look for more local suppliers to keep them stable.

What makes Costco so special?

One of the keys to Costco's success is its focus on savings. It offers products from well-known brands, but its own line, Kirkland Signature, also stands out and enjoys an excellent reputation. In addition, its stores are designed for quick shopping, without unnecessary distractions.

Its strategies have proven to work in different markets around the world. With the new stores opening in August, the chain takes another step toward its consolidation as one of the leaders in retail in the United States.

If you live near any of these locations, it's time to get your membership card ready. Costco is coming in strong with more options to save.
