The 2024/25 season was historic for FC Barcelona, winning La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Supercopa under Hansi Flick's leadership. However, not all team members share the same satisfaction.
One of the club's most promising young talents, Pablo Torre, has delivered a strong message to the German coach due to his limited participation in the team during the past season.
Pablo Torre and his disappointment over minutes played
In statements to Sport from the under-21 national team camp, Pablo Torre didn't hide his discomfort over the lack of opportunities. "I earned the right to play more, but it wasn't fair," the Cantabrian midfielder stated emphatically. Despite being a great prospect, his participation was reduced to 157 minutes (157 minutos) in five official matches, below what was desired.

A promising start, but an ending without prominence
Torre's season began with great performances that made the fans dream. In the match against Villarreal at La CerƔmica, he scored a goal and provided an assist.
Additionally, in another key match against Sevilla, he made his mark with an impressive brace in just 15 minutes (15 minutos). Over time, his participation kept decreasing and his presence on the field was almost nonexistent, far from the expectations caused at the start.
The disagreement with Hansi Flick
Pablo Torre hasn't hesitated to show his disagreement with some of Flick's decisions. Although he respects the German coach, the midfielder indicated that he didn't understand many of the decisions made regarding his role in the team.
"I could've played many more minutes, I think I earned them. There was a lot of competition and it was difficult to get in, but I think it wasn't fair," Torre added, making it clear that his frustration with the coach goes beyond simple internal competition.
According to the footballer himself, he had a direct conversation with Flick to express his discomfort. Despite this, it seems the coach didn't agree to his requests, which increased the distance between them. The young footballer, after standing out on several occasions, ended the season bitter for not consolidating himself in the first team.
Pablo Torre's future at Barcelona
At 21 years old, Pablo Torre faces an important crossroads in his career. With a valid contract and his future hanging in the air, the next transfer window will be crucial in determining his fate at Barcelona.
His role in the under-21 Euro could be an opportunity to increase his value and show the potential he hasn't yet been able to display with the first team. Everything will depend on Hansi Flick's plans and how the market moves in the coming months.
