'They Play Very Well': Barça Impresses Real Madrid Player

Universo Valdano reviews the 4-0 classic with a Real Madrid player.

Fede Valverde, one of Carlo Ancelotti's top starters at Real Madrid, has had no problem acknowledging Barça's good playing.

He did so on Universo Valdano program on Movistar+. Fede Valverde liked what he saw from Barça during the classic.

He was less pleased with the resistance that Flick's team encountered at Real Madrid.

Barça ran over Real Madrid and took home a 4-0 win from Bernabéu. However, there could have been many more due to the number of chances created and Valverde knows it.

Fede Valverde was on the program Universo Valdano. Jorge Valdano has asked him about his memories of last clásico.

Valverde replied sincerely, without being carried away by the colors and admitting that Barça played an excellent classic.

"Barcelona Did Things Right"

"It hurts a lot and obviously it makes you feel very angry not to have gotten the three points on our field," said Valverde regretfully.

He admits that one has to acknowledge reality when one's rival proves to be superior:

"You also have to acknowledge when one team has played a game that is inferior to the other. And I think Barcelona played a very good game. I don't think everything is bad for Madrid, I think Barcelona did things well."

"Especially in the second half. The first half was very even. They had chances and so did we."

Fede Valverde, who had played some excellent classics last season, didn't have his day. This time he didn't find the net nor did he assist any teammate.

Barça's 2-0 Changed Our Mood

He continues with his explanation: "In the second half they scored a goal and everything changed. The mood changed, at least in our team."

"Then they score the second goal and, obviously, it goes beyond tactical and soccering level. You forget a little, you go a little crazy," concludes Fede Valverde.

This is a preview of the program that will soon be broadcast on Movistar+ in which the guests are asked questions by interviewer Jorge Valdano.
