'They are Playing at a Very Good Level.' Hansi Flick Names His Five Favorite Players

Flick highlights the five players who have best assimilated his playing style at Barça.

Without mincing words, Hansi Flick hasn't hesitated to highlight the five players who are performing best for his Barça.

The four players who passed and have been particularly singled out are Cubarsí, Íñigo Martínez, Pedri, Raphinha and Casadó.

He explained it this way: "When I see Cubarsí or Íñigo defending in every game... Pedri also does a tireless job, he runs many kilometers."

He added: "I mentioned these three because they are at a very good level. Raphinha is also at that level ."

But he also didn't want to forget Casadó, who was absent against Las Palmas due to suspension: "He has improved a lot since the start of the season, Marc has already played his first international match..."

He completed his explanation: "He is a player who knows how to read the game his rivals are playing. And he knows where he has to be ready at all times.

When we make a mistake he knows where to stay. And also with the ball he knows what he has to do. He is doing very well."

"I Wanted to Give the President a Victory for the 125th Anniversary"

Flick was present at the club's 125th anniversary gala. He acknowledged that he and the players would've liked to give him a victory against Las Palmas.

"The president was at the training session. It's not the first time he's visited us and of course we talked. I congratulated him on the 125th anniversary. They've organized it very well and we wanted to give him a present the other day but we couldn't ."

He revealed what he talked about with the president: "Today I spoke about fighting, the necessary fight, not just about playing soccer. When I was a player I focused a lot on this attitude. I never liked losing and we have to create more of a fighting mentality to win."

"Penalties are No Excuse"

He sent a message to Szczęsny, in case he had any doubts: "He's had a very good training session. But today I can say that right now I am not planning to change the goalkeeper. Iñaki is the starting goalkeeper as I said before and that's how it is."

He didn't want to hide behind the referees to justify the last three results. However, the subject gives rise to many questions:

"I'm not worried, I think it's up to us.When you play better you win games. I don't care too much about penalties, I don't want to make those excuses."
