Lamine Yamal is in the recovery phase from his grade-1 injury of the anterior tibiofibular ligament.
The young Barça player is working tirelessly to help his teammates succeed in the upcoming Spanish Super Cup commitment.
Flick Expects Lamine by January 8 for Him to Play the Super Cup
Athletic awaits in Arabia on January 8. Flick doesn't count on him for the Cup match against Barbastro on January 4. However, he does hope to use him to beat Real Madrid again if they meet in the finals.
Last Saturday, Lamine Yamal was seen at Montjuïc cheering on his teammates against Atlético de Madrid in the area reserved for injured and substitute players.
The team missed him a lot and he is eager to return. For now, he's gone to Dubai to celebrate the holidays and continue his recovery.
Yamal is in the capital of the United Arab Emirates with his cousin Mohamed and his friend Souhaib. He's chosen a hotel with a gym equipped with all the machines he needs to wrap up his recovery.
Lamine Follows a Very Special Treatment
The medical team has proposed a work plan for him these days, and Lamine Yamal is following it to the letter.
Lamine has already completed a week of platelet-rich plasma treatment to speed up the recovery term. Yamal won't attend the open training session at Johan Cruyff on December 29.
He could extend his vacation in Dubai until the end of the year, aware that his teammates are starting to experience Lamine-dependence. When he's not there, results falter.
Fans missed him a lot during the Barça-Atlético de Madrid match. His presence could have helped break the Atlético defense more often. Nothing is lost yet, however, and Barça trusts that, with Lamine's return, victories will follow.
Lamine's excellent statistics (5 goals and 9 assists in the first half) deserve the reward of titles.
