Robert Lewandowski makes a decision, everyone at Barça knows it: 'Me...'

The Polish player is certain about which team he will play for in the upcoming season: the decision is official

Robert Lewandowski has received significant offers to leave FC Barcelona before his contract ends. The Polish striker is under contract until 2026, but  clubs from Saudi Arabia have tried to convince him on several occasions to leave. They've put a lot of money on the table and, after thinking it over during the past few weeks, he has already made a firm decision.

El Nacional has revealed that Lewandowski has told his closest teammates where he'll play next season. He is certain, intending to fulfill his contract with Barça. He has no doubts and plans to keep wearing the culer jersey... with the idea of winning as many titles as possible before starting a new chapter away from Europe or retiring.

A great objective

He is 36 years old and knows that his career at the top level is nearing its end. He has won every possible club title, but he wants more. Internally,  he has admitted that his main motivation is to win a Champions League with Barça before leaving. He feels there's enough quality in the squad to achieve it and believes they've taken a step forward to win everything in Europe.

Robert Lewandowski is certain that this campaign will be different for him. He is already at an age where physical discomfort is increasingly common. The competition is at its highest and he understands that his role, at times, will be secondary. He understands and accepts it, aiming to reach the decisive stage of the season in top condition and able to contribute his best version to the team.

Incredible performance

Robert Lewandowski joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2022 from Bayern Munich, in a deal valued at €45 million. His signing marked a turning point in the blaugrana project, bringing back to the team a world-class striker.

Since his debut, Lewandowski has posted impressive numbers: 101 goals and 20 assists in 147 official matches. His stats not only reflect his scoring ability but also his influence on the collective play, linking up with his teammates and creating space in attack. Under his offensive leadership, Barça regained competitiveness in LaLiga and European competitions, adding titles and offering a more vertical and decisive style of soccer.

The Polish striker, with his experience and winning mentality, has become a role model for the young players from La Masia, passing on values of hard work, discipline, and ambition. However, his time at Spotify Camp Nou has an end date: summer 2026, when his contract will expire.

Flick, aware of his importance, will keep trusting him as a key piece until his contract ends, but the club is also planning for his generational replacement.

When the time comes for his farewell, Robert Lewandowski will leave Barça as one of the greatest strikers in its recent history, with a legacy marked by decisive goals, titles, and an indelible mark on the hearts of culer fans.
