It's confirmed, Dani Olmo won't be registered again with FC Barcelona. This is the decision of the RFEF and LaLiga, which haven'tified all parties involved that they won't grant Laporta's wishes. Neither Olmo nor Pau Víctor. Neither of them will be able to continue playing this season with Barça, unless a court rules otherwise, which is the next step being prepared by the club.
After having received the notification in a completely official manner, FC Barcelona has replied to Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor: "We're going to the courts". Madrid-Barcelona has learned that the next step will be to go to the Superior Sports Council (CSD) next Tuesday to obtain the judicial precautionary measure. There's optimism in this regard, believing they could play in the Super Cup.
In this sense, the statement released by the RFEF leaves no doubt. "It agrees not to grant the prior visa or the final license requested by FC Barcelona for players D. Daniel Olmo Carvajal and D. Pau Víctor Delgado in accordance with the literal interpretation of articles 130.2 and 141.5 of the RFEF General Regulations... which prevent a player whose license is canceled from obtaining a license in the same club team to which they were already linked during the same season".
Dani Olmo, Problems for Barça: Losses of More Than 200 Million
If it ends up being confirmed, also through judicial means, that his registration is impossible, Dani Olmo could be released from his contract if he so wishes... causing Barça multi-million-dollar losses.
In the contract signed with Barça last summer, Dani Olmo reserved the possibility of leaving for free if he couldn't be registered. This is the current scenario, where the youth player will have to make a decision in the coming days, potentially becoming a free agent and leaving for free. He has no shortage of offers, willing to pay him a higher salary than he currently has agreed with the team presided over by Laporta.
If Dani Olmo decided to leave for free, breaking his contract signed until 2030, FC Barcelona would have to cover the salary agreed upon in this contract. We're talking about a total of 48 million euros that would have to be paid to the player. To this amount, the 55 million agreed upon in the transfer from Leipzig would have to be added.
Along the way, Barça has sold a right for the VIP boxes at Camp Nou for 100 million, when they were valued at 200. This means that, along the way, Laporta's Barça has lost another 100 million euros. This figure, added to what would have to continue being paid for Dani Olmo, would mean losing 203 million in a single operation. Incredible losses that only the player himself could save by agreeing to stay in the stands for six months.
