Xavi Hernández isn't having an easy time finding a new team after leaving Barça. The Catalan is still actively searching for a new destination, but so far he hasn't been lucky. He has been linked to several major European teams and even associated with Saudi Arabia or Qatar, but, up to now, nothing at all...
Xavi didn't expect to still be in this situation, to the point that he has had to offer himself to some of the most exotic destinations. Unfortunately for the former culer, the response hasn't been what he desired for various reasons.
India rejects Xavi Hernández
The information revealed by "Times of India" has been surprising, indicating that Xavi Hernández has put his candidacy on the table of the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The Catalan would be interested in applying as India's new head coach, which is unexpected in the country.

"Marked in green," it was Xavi Hernández himself who put himself forward for the position, having sent his résumé "from his own email". Unlike other offers, "his contact number was left blank".
In this regard, the director of India's national team, Subrata Paul, stated to the aforementioned outlet: "It's correct that Xavi's name was here". But what the former blaugrana didn't expect was to be rejected for a clear reason: he was asking for too much money.
India couldn't afford the salary Xavi Hernández was demanding, even though he was willing to take charge of its national team. In fact, the Catalan mentioned in a recent interview with "The Athletic" that he closely follows the country's league, with many Spanish coaches present.
Future in doubt
At 45, the Catalan still has a long career ahead of him on the sidelines, but so far it's been difficult for him to continue it. Despite his excellent résumé as a footballer, the reality is that as a coach he hasn't managed to convince. He has only coached in Qatar (Al-Sadd) and FC Barcelona, where his tenure didn't end very well.

It's true that he interests several clubs and national teams, but his salary demands are only within reach of the biggest ones.
Xavi Hernández is promoting his name around the world, as shown by this personal offer to India. But it's not easy. He doesn't want to make a wrong move and wants to carefully analyze all his options. However, his demands aren't making it easy for him.
