Hansi Flick isn't up for nonsense. The court ruling that leaves Barça without Dani Olmo starting at midnight hasn't pleased him at all. He doesn't accept the exciting patches proposed by Joan Laporta and Deco.
Flick said no to his transfer a few weeks ago and reaffirmed his stance after the judicial setback regarding Dani Olmo. He doesn't want him in his team.
Flick Doesn't Want Him in His Team
Joan Laporta and Deco have tried to place him. The president has due to the excitement it would spark among a downcast Barcelona fanbase. The sporting director, because he's a Brazilian product he knows well.
The issue is that Hansi Flick has rejected Neymar's reinforcement to finish the season. The German coach wants players in his team, not showmen.
Neymar is 32 years old. The memory he left at Barça is unforgettable. His association with Messi and Luis Suárez in the MSN is still remembered by Barcelona fans.
Barça hasn't won the Champions League again. The last time was with Neymar on the team in the finals against Juventus in Berlin in 2015.
At Zero Cost and Reducing His Salary
He could arrive at zero cost and significantly reducing his salary. Neymar fondly remembers his four years at Barça: 186 matches and 105 goals.
However, Neymar's time at Barça has already passed. He went to PSG to try to win the Ballon d'Or away from Messi's shadow, who eclipsed him, but it didn't work out.
The experience in Arab soccer hasn't worked out either and he wishes to end it as soon as possible. His agents have offered him to half of Europe, including Barça.
Better Known for His Nightlife in Clubs
However, Flick remains inflexible. Right now, his main concern is having Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor available. Everything else is secondary.
Neymar is the last player Flick considers to solve his problems at Barça. He's been injured for a year and is more known for his nightlife in clubs than for his sports performance.
He belongs to Al Hilal, but his goal is to play in the 2026 World Cup with Brazil. His presence in Arab soccer is more of a hindrance than a help to achieve his goal. He's thought of Barça to showcase himself again on a top-level stage.
For him, it would be a great personal success to boost Barça with his individual contribution. That's precisely what Flick doesn't want, as he bets on the collective rather than individualities.
Additionally, Flick also sees Neymar as a threat that could block Lamine Yamal's spectacular progression, as well as hinder the excellent performance Raphinha is offering.
Neymar won't sign for Barça, and it won't be because of its president and sporting director.
