New Month, New Life – Flick Celebrates: 'The Shitty Month of November is Finally Over'

"We talked at half-time about what we had to do and we did it," said Hansi Flick.

Hansi Flick was looking forward to getting rid of the black month of November. He wished to enter December with the new face of Barça, the one he likes. This is what he said to Movistar after the Mallorca-Barça game:

End of the Crisis

"I'd already said that I was happy because this "shitty" November was over and December was beginning."

11 offsides for Mallorca

"It depends on the line, where the opponents are. Against Las Palmas, we had many opportunities. I think my team always gives everything.

"Today we did everything we could to take advantage of them. We also tried to keep possession of the ball.

"You always count offsides. The important thing is not to have to run back."

The Penalty Shot

"There are players who train for it and they choose based on who feels most comfortable among those on the field. I always turn around."

Without Lewandowski

"To be honest, it wasn't my plan yesterday not to let him play. But I had a feeling and I spoke to my assistants. I also thought about the possibility of letting him rest, but he's doing very well, as we've seen."

Ferran Torres Returns with a Goal

"It's important for him to score goals. Lewandowski needed a rest, we had to take care of him. Ferran managed to score the first goal and today it wasn't necessary to play with Lewandowski."

Lamine Yamal's Exhibition

"He is always important, he makes the difference. He could've scored one or two goals. He played very well, he made assists and he has great quality.

"We need him. But wasn't the only one who played well; the others did too. The defense was also good.

"It's not easy for the defense because of the way we play. Cubarsí is playing like an experienced player, as is Pedri, Raphinha... There are many players who have returned after being sidelined and it's not easy to come back and be 100%.

"I'm happy because Ferran and Frenkie have scored, Eric has returned... So I have more options."

His Assessment of the Match

"I'm happy. We had opportunities. We could've scored more goals.

After the break, we talked about what we had to do and I'm happy with these three points.

We had opportunities, we scored. I'm satisfied. I like the team to fight for 90 minutes or however long the match lasts.

I only relaxed when I saw that they only added three minutes."
