The show El Chiringuito keeps trying to turn its predictions about the Ballon d'Or into news. Last night, they did it again.
The Ballon d'Or is awarded based on the judgment of 100 journalists from the 100 countries with the highest ranking in international soccer. In other words, journalists who don't watch El Chiringuito and don't know that the show usually tries to reveal the winner's name in advance.
Anyone but Lamine Yamal
Last year, they were already disappointed with Vinícius, whom they repeatedly announced as the Ballon d'Or winner. The wishes and hopes of those who write El Chiringuito's script had a lot to do with Florentino Pérez and little to do with the jury's will.
Now they're doing the same thing. They're trying to create a fictitious state of opinion to suit their interests. When it seemed like Lamine Yamal was going to win, El Chiringuito crossed him out for not winning the Champions League.
Then Kylian Mbappé emerged. Even though he finished the season without a trophy, El Chiringuito emphasized his status as top scorer (helped by penalties). They saw him as the winner if he had a good Club World Cup.
Mbappé loses momentum
Unfortunately, Mbappé hasn't been able to play the first two matches and it seems he won't be in the line-up for the third either. All hopes dashed.
Mbappé left PSG for Real Madrid to win the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or. He hasn't achieved the first, but the team he left has done better without him.
The second is going to be very difficult for him unless he shines in the Club World Cup. Even then, it might not be enough.
Since the Real Madrid option for the Ballon d'Or is losing ground, El Chiringuito is now supporting a foreign footballer. Anyone but a Barça player, even if he's Spanish.
Dembélé, the Primo Zumosol against Lamine Yamal
Now the talk about Dembélé has started, the player who led PSG to the Champions League title by taking on the leadership role that used to belong to Mbappé.
However, Dembélé also hasn't appeared yet in the Club World Cup, a tournament that, according to El Chiringuito, was supposed to decide the Ballon d'Or winner.
Nothing new within the sociological Madridism named by Laporta. They decide the Ballon d'Or by ignoring the judgment of the 100 voters. They hand out badges for good and bad candidates.

Will they "gift" it to Lamine Yamal?
That's how Vinícius's Beach Ballon was born. They were upset because Rodri, a Spanish player, won it. That made them furious.
This year, they might be in for another surprise with Lamine Yamal. Although they'll always have the consolation of saying that it was gifted to him, just as they used to do to undermine Leo Messi's achievements.
