FC Barcelona is moving quickly in the market, trying to close deals that are beneficial for both the present and the future of the club. Deco hasn't wasted any time, and amid rumors about the departures of Ansu Fati (Monaco) and Álex Valle (Como), he is said to have closed another deal along the way.
Barça Hoy, a YouTube channel with more than 400,000 subscribers, has revealed that one of La Masia's gems, Guille Fernández, will head to Porto. The youth player is said to have accepted his departure due to the impossibility of moving up to the first team, believing that he has a high enough level to compete at the highest level in Europe.
The aforementioned report has detailed that Barça will receive €5 million ($5.4 million) for the sale of Guille Fernández to Porto. This would be a similar departure to the one that, years ago, was made for Nico González. The agreement also includes a buy-back clause for the young talent trained at La Masia until he is 16 years old.

Guille Fernández: The gem who leaves Barça
With a contract until 2027 and only 16 years old, Guille Fernández was clear that he didn't want to keep playing for the reserve team in Segunda Federación. He considers himself to have a high enough level to compete in Europe, and he believes that Porto is the ideal place to continue his career. In any case, at all times Barça didn't want to lose track of him for good.
Thus, Deco intends to establish a new way of operating with La Masia's talents. Instead of loans, they prefer to opt for sales with the possibility of buying them back. This is the methodology that Real Madrid has followed in recent years, and it has allowed them to bring in money for talents without opportunities with the first team.
Guille Fernández will swap Barça's youth categories for Porto's first team. He will do so with the intention of returning one day and being able to make his debut at Camp Nou, something that, so far, he hasn't achieved.
This past season, the midfielder played 32 matches in Primera Federación with FC Barcelona's reserve team, with impressive numbers of 7 goals and 1 assist.
