FC Barcelona keeps planning key aspects for next season, and not all of them are related to the first team's squad. In recent hours, Joan Laporta has received double news that has made him very happy. Specifically, we're talking about the return to the culer organization chart of two vitally important legends: Andrés Iniesta and Thiago Alcántara. Both will take on completely different roles, but they will be key, once again, at Barça.
Iniesta returns to Barça
On his X account, formerly known as Twitter, the always well-informed @javitarre has surprised everyone by announcing the return of Andrés Iniesta. The man from La Mancha is set to take on a position within the Youth Soccer organization chart.
Retired since late 2024, Barça has been negotiating Iniesta's return for a long period of time. He hadn't given his "yes, I do" until now, willing to return to the team he loves. The position would convince him and, at 41 years old, he'd be happy to return to action, although now it won't be precisely on the field.

Andrés Iniesta hasn't remained unaware of the latest developments at Barça, having closely followed everything that happened last season. In fact, the man from La Mancha has participated in legends team matches, always keeping his image linked to the culers.
Hansi Flick has convinced Thiago
Not only will Iniesta return to FC Barcelona this summer. It's a matter that's been discussed for some time and was put on standby, but Thiago Alcántara will rejoin Flick's staff. The Spaniard played an essential role in Flick's first weeks as Barça's coach, helping him adapt to the club and the city.

Since their time at Bayern, Flick and Thiago have kept a great friendship. Even though it seemed settled for some time, it won't be until this summer when he returns to the culer coaching staff. He's a highly respected person in the locker room and a presence like his will be greatly welcomed by Camp Nou.
Laporta couldn't be happier. He always likes to be surrounded by legends, and what better way to continue his project than with the return of Iniesta and Thiago.
