He’s Crazy about Playing for Barça: Lamine Yamal Convinces Him and Laporta Negotiates

He is one of the best players in Europe and is eager to wear the FC Barcelona jersey: signing in progress

FC Barcelona is working on planning the squad for the next season and what the sports management is clear about is that they need to find another winger. This season there has been a certain lack of grit on the wings when Lamine Yamal or Raphinha couldn't do it, and a remedy is needed. There are different options on the table, but one of the three most liked is Rafael Leao from Milan.

Rafael Leão would bring power, speed, and imbalance on the left wing, also being able to play as a forward if necessary. It's a profile that is liked and that Jorge Mendes, his agent, the same as Lamine Yamal's, has offered on a silver platter. He doesn't want to continue another year at Milan and the idea is to leave the Italian club this summer.

Rafael Leão wants to play with Lamine Yamal

For some time now, the Portuguese winger has publicly shown his affection toward Barça, but especially toward Lamine Yamal. It's common to see the forward comment on the young Barça star's posts on social media. Recently, he did so on Instagram, writing: "Una cosa de locossssss."

The truth is that Rafael Leão has a great supporter at Barça: president Joan Laporta. He is a great admirer of his and considers that he would be an ideal signing for the Barça team. The main problem is that Milan doesn't want to facilitate a departure and, right now, they refer to his 175 million euro release clause. Everything would be negotiated, with Barcelona trying to get him out of there for less than 60 "kilos".

This doesn't end here, as El Nacional has revealed, Lamine Yamal believes that Leão would be a perfect complement for him. They have similar but complementary profiles, playing on different wings and potentially becoming one of the most lethal duos in all of Europe.

The admiration is mutual and the Spaniard would be delighted to share the starting eleven with Rafael Leão. Despite everything, it's not something easy that can happen. Barça's economic difficulties put this possible move in jeopardy: many things will be needed for the Portuguese to play at Camp Nou.
