Laporta Is Chased by Brokers: Koundé Will Be More Expensive for Barça

A broker who participated in Koundé's signing is claiming 3 million that were not paid to him in the operation.

Broker Darren Dein Paved the Way for Others. Meanwhile, Isaac T. López announces a lawsuit against Barça demanding the payment of three million euros.

This is the amount he considers logical for his involvement in the negotiation that brought Jules Koundé to Barça from Sevilla.

The Precedent of Darren Dein

Darren Dein received 50 million for mediating between two parties that have known each other for 30 years -Barça and Nike-. López believes that it's not a matter of giving away his contribution to Koundé's signing by Barça three years ago.

Isaac T. López believes that without his intervention, Koundé's transfer wouldn't have been completed, and he claims 5% of the operation, which amounted to 60 million euros.

Jijantes reports today that Isaac T. López has filed a lawsuit against FC Barcelona for non-payment of his commission in the Koundé operation.

He Prevented Koundé from Signing with Chelsea

The agent believes that thanks to him, Koundé didn't go to Chelsea, as was planned, and that he made it possible for him to change course toward Camp Nou.

The lawsuit has been accepted for processing. It represents for Joan Laporta and his board, a new front to cover.  The club  is working on numerous litigations that are pending resolution by the judge.

Just a few hours ago, Deco announced his intention to file a lawsuit against Víctor Font, a candidate for Barça's presidency. Now, almost three years later, the signing of Mbappé is being stirred up.

The legal department of FC Barcelona is studying whether the debt with the agent is real. Or if his fees were already agreed upon in the contract signed with Sevilla.

The Content of the Lawsuit

Jijantes has accessed the lawsuit against Barça, reproduced below:

"The events date back to August 8, 2021. On that date, the plaintiff's services were requested to strengthen the defense of FC Barcelona's first team, expressing interest in Jules Koundé.

According to the lawsuit, on June 10, 2022, “Joan Laporta requests that, given his good relationship with Monchi, he intercede in favor of Barça.” And to do so through “economic levers.”

During this operation, Sevilla FC and Chelsea were also interested in the center-back. His signing was finally announced on July 26, 2022.

The defendant exposes the existence of a debt and claims the fees he hasn't received for this operation.

He alleges the existence and presentation of evidence of the work done during this period. Always as an intermediary, performing “an essential and decisive role in the negotiation and subsequent acquisition of the player by Football Club Barcelona.”
