Laporta Activates the Penultimate Lever: The Dream Signing, Closer. Nike Will Intervene

Barça Recovers Financial Strength and Becomes an Attractive Option for Top Stars

Joan Laporta doesn't give up. At Barça, they work silently for a masterstroke:  bringing Erling Haaland to Camp Nou. The blaugrana president has activated what many already call the penultimate economic lever, a key operation that brings the Norwegian forward a bit closer.

This week, the blaugrana club has confirmed that it will receive an additional 8.5 million euros for the transfer of Jean-Clair Todibo. The former Barça player has been sold by Nice to Manchester United.

A Great Deal for Barça

Barça kept a percentage of a future sale and now reaps the rewards. A great deal that comes at a strategic moment.

But that's not all. According to El Nacional, Laporta and the board have been negotiating silently with Nike for two years to close a new historic sponsorship deal. The club wants to break away from the current contract signed in 2016 and sign a much more beneficial one that could mean an unprecedented financial injection.

With these maneuvers, Laporta prepares for the final offensive. The goal is clear: to have enough financial muscle to activate Haaland's release clause in 2026, estimated at 175 million euros.

Although the player's entourage is still considering other projects, Barça is determined to present a competitive proposal. It will be accompanied by a solid sports project and strong economic arguments.

Barça Is Once Again an Attractive Club for Stars

At the moment, Barça is an attractive club for top footballers. Hansi Flick's project is admired worldwide and no one, not even Haaland, turns their back on it. Moreover, the Norwegian is experiencing a delicate moment in Manchester and would look favorably on his departure from Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, at Camp Nou, they are clear that signing Haaland would be a direct response to Mbappé's signing by Real Madrid. Thus, the eternal battle between the two giants of Spanish soccer will be renewed. Laporta plays hard and isn't afraid.

The penultimate lever is already in motion. The last one, according to sources within the club, could be activated before the summer.  The Haaland dream is still alive.

More so, with Barça's return to Camp Nou next season. More income from season tickets, more income from ticket sales, more income from VIP boxes... Barça will return to normalcy to the dismay of Javier Tebas.

The Champions League prizes, top TV revenues in Spain, and the prizes for league championship qualification will do the rest.
